WHAT'S NEW

Our next membership meeting is Tuesday, November 11, 7:00pm, at Hidden Cypress.  Our guest speaker will be George Cathcart, presenting "Introduction to Underwater Photography." The competition theme is "Gratitude" (Think thankfulness, grateful and blessing—a new grandchild, Thanksgiving dinner table, High School or College graduation of a friend or family member, etc.).  Reminder: digital image files must be emailed in advance to: pcschh1@gmail.com.  Refer to Competition Guidelines or contact Bob Kampwirth for assistance.

Click  here to view the winning photos entered by PCSCHH members in last May's Tri-Club Competition.

Online registration for classes in the Fall program is now open.  Click the Class Schedule link (on the left) for the Class Description List and the link to the Eventbrite registration form.

NEW MEMBERS WELCOME: The Club Fair  is over, but you can still join the PCSCHH or renew for 2015 online.  The cost is $20 for the first member and $10 for the second member of the same household. Or, download and print the paper application and bring it to a meeting.

Photography help sessions with Rich deAsla will resume Nov. 6.

NEW SERVICE: Click here for the procedure to request assistance in printing large-format photos in the studio.

"Abandoned" by Frank Guillen won the Abstract Category in the October competition.

Click here to view John Burrack's Shutterfly page featuring terrific photos from the Hummingbird and Butterfly Garden.  This is a Sun City attraction well worth visiting.

Below: It was a busy day at the Club Fair October 11.  Many thanks to the PCSCHH volunteers who worked our table in Pinckney Hall and at the Studio to welcome visitors.  Thanks to their efforts, we added 53 new members.  Welcome, y'all!

The 2014 Beaufort-Jasper Active Adult Challenge (BJAAC) was well-covered by approximately a dozen volunteer photographers, recruited and organized by Corky Burt.  The 27 competitions ranging from softball to bocce began with opening ceremonies September 27 and wrapped up a week later with a picnic and award presentations for the winning athletes. Several of the photos will be viewable on the BJAAC website. (Photo: Sandy LoPresti and Corky share impressions with Lori Holland, Assistant Director, Health & Wellness.)

The Photography Club Intramural Exhibit Committee is pleased to announce a new studio exhibit, "Inspired."  We have hung 17 photos on the Gallery Wall ranging from ingenious to whimsical.  On the Fieldtrip Wall there are seven photos that will motivate & energize us to go, visit and photograph the beautiful wonders of our local surroundings.  Last but certainly not least, we have hung five of our Club Members’ award winning photographs from the Beaufort Calendar 2015 Contest.  When you want to be motivated to enter the next exhibit, come take a look at all of these inspirited and exhilarating photographs.  A special thank you to all 23 of our Photography Club Members that so graciously contributed their works of art to this exhibit, "Inspired."  Click here for more photos.
