Our studio calendar is new!  Finally, after months of frustrations with the old Yahoo calendar, that has been deep-sixed and replaced with a web-based calendar that is more readable with color-coded event classifications and other new features that should appeal to our members.  Find it at the link to the right, then click on any event for additional information as applicable.  Thanks to Nancy Hoff and Chuck Thomas for researching, testing and implementing this improved version.  As before, members should contact Nancy to submit an event.

Our first meeting after the summer break is Tuesday, September 9, 7:00pm, at Hidden Cypress.  Our guest speaker will be Kate Silvia; her topic will be announced later.  The competition theme is Summer Fun - so have great summer and plan to enter a photo of your favorite or most memorable experience of the summer.  (Digital image files must be sent to this address:  Refer to Competition Guidelines or contact Bob Kampwirth for assistance.)

Click  here to view the winning photos entered by PCSCHH members in last May's Tri-Club Competition.

Our Education program is taking shape for the fall semester.  Check back in late August for an announcement and sign-up form for new learning opportunities beginning in September.

NEW MEMBERS WELCOME: Membership applications for 2015 will be available at the Club Fair, October 11.  The cost is $20 for the first member and $10 for the second member of the same household.  Those who join or renew at the fair will enjoy the benefits of membership from that date through all of 2015.

Photography help sessions are available for members every Thursday, 9:30am - Noon, in the Studio unless otherwise announced.  No appointment needed. Bring your camera, manual, photos or whatever relates to your questions.

Entries are being accepted for the 2015 photo contest for Beaufort County's Land Preservation Calendar.  The theme is "Branching Out: The Life, Landscapes and Love of Trees in Beaufort County."  The entry deadline is Aug. 25. Contest details may be found at under County Projects.

Gracene Peluso's "Lightscape" won the Abstract Category in the May competition.

Now online: Photos from Field Trips.  Thanks to Pat Roche and Hubbs Grimm for their initiative to provide a website solely dedicated to the display of photos taken on the many fields trips our members have enjoyed and learned from, and future outings.  Here's a chance to view and comment on the work of other participants, as well as share your own favorites.  Click here to see what has already been posted and how to get involved.
