MEETINGS: We're off for the summer; our next membership meeting will be Tuesday, September 13.

VISITING THE STUDIO?  Members and visitors will be happy to know that the "pen & paper" sign-in binder has served its purpose and has been removed from the counter.  The only sign-in procedure now required is by the use of the laptop computer.

9th ANNUAL TRI-CLUB COMPETITION was conducted Thursday May 26, at Hidden Cypress.  Members from the Photography Club of Beaufort, Camera Club of Hilton Head and Photography Club of Sun City Hilton Head competed in the skill categories of Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert.  Ribbons were awarded in each category for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and two honorable mention recognitions by a panel of three judges chosen by the three clubs.  Of the 20 ribbons awarded, five went to Sun City photographers:  congratulations to Sue Kozarewicz ("Crotons" - 1st Place, Novice), Stan Lituchy ("Meaningless Mannequin Meeting" - HM, Novice), Paul Thaxton ("Mom" - 3rd Place, Intermediate), Bob Zier ("Moving Horse" - 2nd Place, Expert) and Corky Burt ("Sandy" - 3rd Place, Expert).  It was a very good night for the Beaufort club participants who took home eleven ribbons, with four awarded to the Hilton Head club.  Additional information will be provided, including the wining Sun City photos along with the four 1st place photos when available.  A special thanks to the volunteers of the participating clubs who worked hard to make the event a great success.
